Student days, being served John Smith’s Magnet via the serving hatch (left hand room)
I was walking home from the Cathedral School heading to Gurney street, with a mate. At a distance my companion decided he could throw a stone into the open doorway of the Brunswick. He almost made it.The stone smashed the big window above the door and men rushed out, pints in hand, to catch the culprits. The culprit ran through at full speed.Like an idiot I got caught. I betrayed my mate and they let me go.
