Join local historian and writer, Khadim Hussain for a lively talk about the heritage of curry on Teesside.
There will be an introduction to the history of curry powders and spice blends, referencing early recipes and spices brought over to the UK in small tins.


Khadim will share a selection of his writing and poems relating to the culinary heritage of curry in Middlesbrough. See a demonstration of curry powder blending and an opportunity to take a special spice blend home to try yourself. The session is drop in and we would advise arriving on time to get a seat.


Attendance is free and our very own Boro Brew will be served to visitors on the day.
