This year Navigator North will host Discover Middlesbrough in Hillstreet Shopping Centre with a celebration of historic postcards of the town. The exhibition features material from local historians and heritage groups including Dr Tosh Warwick of Heritage Unlocked, Sue Martin from Memories of Middlesbrough, p.a. morbid from The Middlesbrough History Project, Robert Nichols from Discover Middlesbrough and Paul Menzies.
Local historian Dr Tosh Warwick will lead a talk about his latest publication – Historic Middlesbrough: Postcards From The Past, on Saturday 15th October, 11am-12. There will be free family workshops every Saturday afternoon 1-4pm. Join in arts activities to create your own postcard. Colour in, create a collage, or draw your own map inspired by Middlesbrough’s Historic Quarter. Drop-in workshop suitable for all ages. All events are free. |
